A compliance certificate is not a security posture

We see organisations pass an assessment in March and get breached in July. Nothing contradictory happened. The assessment measured whether controls existed on paper. The attacker tested whether anyone was watching at 03:00.

NIS2 is a floor, not a ceiling — the minimum structure your programme sits on, not the programme itself.

And there's a second half most organisations never think about. Controls raise the cost of attacking you. Only consequences lower the appetite for attacking anyone. That's why we invest in specialised support and continuous training for law enforcement structures working to prevent, investigate and combat cybercrime: evidence handling, attribution, cross-border cooperation, the practical mechanics of turning a technical artefact into something that survives a courtroom.

Prevention protects your organisation. Prosecution changes attacker economics.

Compliance is where you start. Neither of those is where you stop.
